‘Neocapitalism - What in the world could that be?’, I hear you ask as you stop scanning the headlines and pause briefly to consider yet another new term. Well, okay I admit it’s a little contrived but how about ‘Enlightened Capitalism - pathway to a better future’. Then again, that begs the question of ‘Enlightened about what ?’ doesn’t it. There was a common saying in what used to be the USSR which went something like this ‘Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it is the other way around’. Kind of hits the spot doesn’t it?

Anyway, enough postulating, time for some facts. Capitalism is defined in the Oxford dictionary as “a system in which private capital or wealth is used in production and distribution of goods; (Polit.) dominance of private owners of capital and production for profit”.
