Of late I have found cause to revisit the concept of the Ideal Self as defined by Richard Boyatzis, the creator of Intentional Change Theory. Boyatzis first created Intentional Change Theory (ICT) as a self directed learning theory in 1999 and has spent the years since testing and refining the theory. ICT is an interesting theory and construct which appeals to me because it is an existential model, circular in nature and ever evolving.
